The Best Way to Obtain Your Free Credit Report

The option is now widely available across America: you can now obtain your free credit report once a year from the three major credit reporting agencies-Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.

To obtain your free credit report, all you have to do is get in touch with either Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion and inform them that you would like to obtain your free credit report. You must also add a piece of information that confirms you are who you say you are and that you do live at the address that is on their records.

You will then obtain your free credit report from them within two weeks.

You can also obtain your free credit report through the telephone; if you have already checked your credit report in the last 6 months through the telephone, then the company may be willing to tell you your credit rating over the phone. Only some companies will do this, though; whereas others will need proof of identification if they are going to send you your credit report.

There are many ways to obtain your free credit report. Most people will not be put off by the fact that they can only get their credit report once a year. These people will not need constant notification about their credit report.

There are websites that will let you view your credit report whenever you want. But why pay for their service when you can get your credit report once a year?

To obtain your free credit report from a credit-reporting agency will not cost you a penny. You can inform the credit-reporting agencies that you would like to view your credit report and then they will post it to you once you have provided them with the correct documentation.
