Have a pop-up appear when a person enters you site, just fills out the form and clicks send. Or you could have a pop-up exactly like the one you encountered when you came to this page. It pops up, and you can read the information. If you choose to sign up, click ok, and an e-mail is automatically sent to my autoresponder program. Which immediately sends a thank you letter to you for joining my optin mailing list. Because of the convience of just clicking the ok button, it is 10 times more effective.
Offer an incentive to join your list with a free e-book, or software, or and e-mail education course. Have a button put on your website for the people who change their minds later and want to join.
