The Making Of A Winning Online Poker Player

First of all you must be able to take consistently care of your money and play them the right way. Even if you are an extraordinary poker player, you can't stay on the winning course if you can't manage your money correctly. A correct management will tell you the types of games to play, games that are affordable for your bankroll and will also predict the long run winnings.

Many qualified poker players don't know how to interpret their bankroll. They play high poker limit games, games that have such limits that their bankroll can't take. There are times in everyone's life when we can get unlucky, and those times have to be taken into consideration when playing poker. You may play your best, without any mistakes at all and still lose constantly and your bankroll has to be able to absorb such losses. It is said a bankroll of at least 300 - 350 times the biggest bet can be the solution for a good money management. You know best your poker statistics, but even if you always win and your bankroll is 50 times the bigger bet you might loose it. The same thing happens if you don't let the bankroll grow a little and you always take out the money won. A good money management means playing games you can afford and also keeping the bankroll at a rather stable size.

Secondly, observe all. To observe means to know. And knowing gives you a head start in poker. When playing you will not spend as much time contemplating your cards as you may think. You will be left with plenty of time on your hands and you can very well use that time to observe the movements and tactics of all the other players. Some player might even say what cards they had when they throw away a hand. If you pay attention, you can build a model in your head that will predict future behaviors and patters for that specific player. This does not mean telling, as in real life poker, it's different and it requires more attention from your part. In the mean time, you must pay attention to your own game as well, build yourself a image a game style that can't be predicted because there are times when you might come across experienced players that will also try and observe you game style.

So whenever you spot a fault in your opponent's game, examine yourself for that kind of transparency to determine if you are not doing it too.
